- Notes
- This tartan was designed to celebrate the history, identity and heritage of The Rainier Club, a private social and business club founded in Seattle, Washington, in 1888. The threadcount incorporates 18 white threads and 88 green threads, representing the Club’s founding year of 1888. The sett is inspired by the MacNaughton tartan, in reference to James McNaught and the home in which the first Rainier Club was established. Colours: blue and gold were drawn from the Club’s logo; green is intended to represent Washington, known as the Evergreen State and red reflects the distinctive red brick of the Rainier Club building.
